70'S I ALTRES COSES: THE EXHIBITION OF VERA CHAVES AT ZIELINKSY
The exhibition of Brazilian artist Vera Chaves Barcellos opened at Zielinksy Gallery. "70'S I ALTRES COSES" runs through a selection of works produced between 1970 and 1990 to explore the relationship of the body with time, using pre-existing images as a starting point.

Since the beginning of his career, Chaves Barcellos has been interested in the reuse of photographs taken in newspapers & other media to develop her work using video, photography, printmaking and installation. Through narratives and characters from the past and the future, she focuses on stories that were left out of historiography, and documents and collects archival materials from local events or from personal memory.
The exhibition 70'S y altres coses presents a series of works that are photographic exercises in which there is an exploration of the medium with the focus on the body.
