SERGIO BAZÁN AND LOLE ASIKIAN EXHIBIT “TIME PLAYS” AT DIANA LOWENSTEIN GALLERY
The show offers two photographic presentations that deal with the dilation of oblivion.
This dialogue between the works of Sergio Bazán, which portray the untimely period in New York City, and the personal desolation in the face of outside noise in Lole's Asikian work, capture a game of lights, shadows and absences that create dream scenes. The intensity and disenchantment of the linear remains in the image; life begins to take a circular shape, not everything is lost.
The contrast between the figurative and the abstract then becomes essential, questioning forms but above all reflecting on perception. Thus, the viewer's will reverberates between the sense of geometry and the sensation of color.
