17 Young Artists at Artespacio Gallery
17 young artists will intervene the two floors of the chilean gallery Artespacio to show us something more about what is happening in the local art scene.
Artespacio invited young artists to exhibit in their two exhibition spaces. Several of them have participated in the successful BBVA Artespacio Arte Joven Contest, this time highlighting the most relevant ones, such as Felipe Lavín, who presented a large-format photograph of the Santiago Metro in Chile, Marlis Lund will present a kinetic sculpture, José Benmayor and his series of paintings on video cameras, Carlos Vidal and his modular copper assemblies, Consuelo Infante with his series of toys and dolls inside glass domes; besides Paula Ceroni, Santiago Cansino, Gonzalo Contreras, Ofelia Andrades, among others.
For the second floor four artists were invited, Carolina Agliati, Valentina Ratto, Florencia Pozo and Michelle Prazak, all standing out with a visual investigation related to kinetic and geometric art. Prazak, Peruvian artist specially invited to be part of this exhibition, and only foreigner, will present a series of paintings that through their same language recreate optical and sensorial illusions always using a geometric construction.
This exhibition will be opened to the public until Friday, February 2nd.
