ANA VIDIGAL AT FLORA'S OPEN SCHOOL PROGRAM
This afternoon, within the framework of Escuela Abierta (Open School) program developed by FLORA, the Portuguese artist Ana Vidigal will hold a talk about her work -mainly focused on painting, collage and plastic arts-. The call is free, but with prior registration.
About the artist:
Ana Vidigal (Lisbon, 1960) lives and works in Lisbon. Her work goes through painting, collage, assamblage and installation, as processes of decontextualization and reconfiguration of images taken from different sources, exploring social, political and memory values. After concluding her painting studies at the School of Fine Arts of Lisbon in 1984, Vidigal was a fellow of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (1985-1987). She has exhibited in spaces such as Baginski Gallery, the Portuguese Cultural Center - Camões Institute, Modern Art Center of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Sharjah Biennial, and the National Museum of Contemporary Art - Museu do Chiado. Her work is present in the collections of the Modern Art Center of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Culturgest, the Serralves Foundation, the Bank of Portugal, the Berardo Collection, Manuel de Brito and the Deutsche Bank.
