CAPITAL, A LATIN AMERICAN ART FAIR IN CÓRDOBA

The event will bring together, for the first time, 24 art galleries and projects from different cities in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Mexico; it will take place on April 3, 4, 5, and 6 at Distrito Capitalinas, in the city of Córdoba, Argentina.

CAPITAL, A LATIN AMERICAN ART FAIR IN CÓRDOBA

Capital Feria is the first privately driven art fair to be held in Córdoba. The initiative was launched by Capitalinas and Wayout Producciones and is directed by Luz Novillo Corvalán and Mercedes López Moreyra. Through this project, they aim to establish connections and collaborations with the business world, architecture, and design to develop and strengthen the art market.

With a boutique concept, the fair presents an exclusive selection of invited galleries, allowing for a more personalized and specific experience, as well as different interactions throughout the fair, addressing particular needs and interests.

The project views the city of Córdoba as a potential hub connecting national and regional art scenes, with the capacity to become the epicenter of new encounters and developments in the Latin American art market. This innovative initiative is supported by the Córdoba Culture Agency of the Government of the Province of Córdoba.

The first edition’s theme is “Carried by the Wind,” inspired by the distinctive air currents that flow through the esplanade of the Capitalinas Towers, the fair’s venue. Curators Novillo Corvalán and López Moreyra bring this edition to life, encouraging movement that drives and leads us to expand our limits, ignite desire, and take action to change the state of things. The energy of the wind also raises contemporary issues such as environmental fragility and the importance of renewable energy sources.

Capital Feria will feature an Auditorium Section, coordinated and curated by Tomás Ezequiel Bondone. This program of talks will offer content and diverse perspectives on current topics through discussions with different art scene agents. It will also serve as a dedicated space for art professionals, collectors, and businesspeople within the fairgrounds.

Under its agenda of art, culture, and entertainment, Distrito Capitalinas will serve as the venue for the fair. Home to major national and multinational companies and brands, this space is crucial for fostering exchanges with private entities and institutions interested in art, promoting cultural growth through business sector participation and contribution. Within this framework, and in addition to the exhibition activities, there will be an exclusive program for gallerists, collectors, and buyers; special events on the 34th floor of Distrito Capitalinas; and visits to private collections, museums, and more.

The Argentine galleries participating in the fair are: Ankara (Colonia Caroya), Artis (Córdoba Capital), Crudo (Rosario), Diego Obligado (Rosario), Esaa (Unquillo), Espacio Barraco (Rosario), Linse (Buenos Aires), Marchiaro (Córdoba), Maria Wonda (Córdoba Capital), Mina (Córdoba Capital), Miranda Bosch (Buenos Aires), Moria (Buenos Aires), Oda (Buenos Aires), Sasha D (Córdoba Capital), Satélite (Córdoba Capital), Subsuelo (Rosario), Valeries Factory (Buenos Aires), and Via Margutta (Buenos Aires).
