Elena Asins, the "mother" of the Spanish conceptual art died at the age of 75 years
The Madrid artist, one of the leaders of conceptual art in Spain and National Arts Award in 2011, died in Naverre at the age of 75 years.

Asins, artist, writer, lecturer and art critic, born in Madrid in 1940. She studied at the School of Fine Arts in Paris, at the University of Stuttgart (Semiotics with professor Max Bense) in the Complutense University of Madrid (Centro Calculation), at The New School for Social Research (New York) and Columbia University (Department of Computer Science: Computer Art), where he was invited as a Visiting Scholar for Research of the line of fine arts ( art digital computer application).
In 1988 he won the prize primer Zeitscrift für Kunst und Medien in Karlsruhe (Germany). Her work is in museums and private and public collections, including the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, the Museum of Abstract Art of Cuenca, the Fine Arts Museum of Alava and the IVAM.
