FLORA opens its call for the Gabinete program
The Cabinet program is carried out in the showcase of the FLORA building, visible from the street. The name refers to the cabinets of curiosities, exhibition spaces predecessors of the museum that emerged in Europe during the Renaissance and were very popular in the seventeenth century.
The Gabinete program focuses on projects that investigate and / or relate to the urban environment, local natural heritage and / or traditional knowledge. We will privilege those projects that during their execution are linked, collaborate or are developed with a community *, so that different people participate in its formulation, construction or execution through an activity and / or workshop. The results of these processes and experiences will be presented in the Cabinet.
This year, every two months FLORA will present a project designed especially for this space that will be selected through this call. Four projects will be exhibited for seven weeks each. The first exhibition will start at the end of May and the last one in November.

* FLORA suggests that the projects be linked to the community of Barrio San Felipe and / or Barrios Unidos; in this case FLORA will generate a meeting space with the neighbors. However, it is possible to present proposals that involve other groups or communities
