FRANCE - MARTÍN REYNA IN BLACK AND RED
Martín Reyna, Del Infinito gallery, is one of the eight artists who is part of the collective exhibition Champ Libre at the Clairefontaine Chapel Art Center, curated by Raphaël Ocampo.
The exhibition invites the viewer to see, feel and think on his own; wondering the how and why of what he sees, what he feels, and what he likes.
Along with his participation in the exhibition, Reyna carried out the installation “Black and Red”, specially conceived for one of the corridors in the building. This intervention is 20 meters long by 3m high and occupies the entire extension of the space.
In the artist's words: “I worked from these two colors that tell a color story along the corridor. At the beginning of the installation they are separated: the black on the right side and the red on the left side. They are going to meet little by little and they are going to mix. The perspective will accompany the journey of this work in order to enter within the history between these colors and to perceive the modifications of the space. Red and black have a very strong symbolic charge, this is what excited me. I'm interested in the tension and complicity that associates them.”
