GIROVAGO: VICENTE MATTE’S SOLO SHOW INAGURATES NEW SPACE AT THE CHILEAN CAPITAL
In the new contemporary art space The Intuitive Machine -art gallery located in Santiago, Chile-, Giróvago, by Vicente Matte. Constituted by a series of paintings, the exhibition that inaugurated the new Chilean gallery will remain until September 14.
Marking a certain aesthetic relationship with artists -mainly painters- of the mid-twentieth century, Matte's work is characterized by the distemper technique. In this sense, the Chilean artist does a revaorulation of the artists who were outside the academies at that time.
Founded by the artist Martín Daiber, The Intuitive Machine is a new gallery specialized in contemporary art in the Yungay neighborhood. "The Intuitive Machine, as its name suggests, celebrates the creative act from intuition and embraces the mystery of art in its formal and spiritual dimension." He adds: "We understand artistic practice from doing and workshop work as an axis of this activity. From this position we intend to refresh the panorama of contemporary plastic arts, with a genuine proposal and a catalog of quality artists ", explains the founder of this new space that will feature exhibitions of artists such as Alejandro Palacios, Pilar Trujillo, José Calman, Juana Subercaseaux, Pablo Ferrer, Martín Bruce, Antonia Daiber, Benjamín Edwards and Pablo Selín Carrasco.
