IGNACIO NOGUEROL IN ICPNA'S LIMA CENTRO
Ignacio Noguerol defined his show at Juan Pardo Heeren Gallery (ICPNA Lima Centro) as a ”selection of works that explore my trail through my interests in the last five years. A cycle in which I have been absolutely devoted to translate the landscape in my pictorial language"
In an exhibition where the theme is migration, the work of Noguerol takes as its point of departure the great stage of the peruvian coast. Through the abstraction, the young Peruvian artist poses a sort of configuration of the city from a large-scale painting installation.
In addition, across six paintings and installations of medium and large size Noguerol plays with the historical and cultural center of Lima creating a visceral cosmology from the syncretism.
"Both my predilection for mantles and gauze of pre-Columbian cultures of the coast of Peru such as the same desert landscape that extends through this, have been shaping this pieces", explains the artist with regard to the audited fabrics exposed in the Gallery Juan Pardo Heeren.
The exhibition will be open from Tuesday to Sunday from May 31 to July the 1st at gallery Juan Pardo Heeren (Jr. Cuzco 446). Admission is free.
