LAST WEEKS OF IVÁN NAVARRO'S EXHIBITION AT MACBA.
Until March 1, the Bifocal exhibition, by the Chilean artist Iván Navarro, will be open at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Buenos Aires (MACBA). It is a retrospective set.
With an important focus on the political sphere of his country - focused on the time of the Pinochet dictatorship - Iván Navarro manages to use light and darkness, the dreamlike and the playful, to question the power of institutions and rethink Chilean history.
The MACBA exhibits works that interact with the viewer not only through the audiovisual but also the psychological. This is due to the use of neon, mirrors and electric energy
Based in New York, Navarro is one of the most emblematic figures of Chilean contemporary art, and is represented by the French gallery Templon. With the support of this gallery, Navarro has taken his work to numerous halls, galleries and museums, giving his political message a more global reception and echo.
