LUCRECIA PALACIOS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE arteBA FOUNDATION
The Argentine curator, with experience in renowned museums such as the Moderno in Buenos Aires and Malba, joins the arteBA team.

Lucracia Palacios is a curator, art critic, and editor. She studied History and Management of the Arts at the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires and did a postgraduate degree in Criticism of Art and Culture at the University of Girona, Spain.
From 2014 to 2017, Palacios was responsible for the Public Programs of the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (Malba) where she designed and conducted international seminars, performance programs and conference cycles. She was also the curator of the exhibition by the Peruvian artist Ximena Garrido-Lecca "Estados Nativos" (Native States) and "Cameo" by Juan Tessi. In 2016, together with Alejo Ponce de León and Inés Katzenstein, she curated “Antología genética” (Genetic Anthology), a research project and exhibition on the work of Nicanor Aráoz (Universidad Di Tella, 2016). Finally, since 2018, she worked at the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires as a curator, where she worked on the exhibitions “¿Sentiste hablar de mí?”(¿Did you feel talking about me?) by Sergio De Loof and “Sueño sólido” (Solid Dream) by Nicanor Aráoz (Museum of Modern Art, 2019 and 2020).
With the arteBA Foundation, Lucrecia has carried out numerous projects. In 2013, together with the curator Eva Grinstein, she produced the first edition of Isla de Ediciones, a section that she continued to lead in 2014 and 2015 with Facundo de Falco. She was also part of the jury of the two editions of the ArteBA Critical Essay Award -Adriana Hidalgo as editor.
In addition, she was a regular contributor to the Arts section in the Radar supplement of the Página/12 newspaper and in the magazine Los inrockuptibles.
The arteBA Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 1991 that works to develop and strengthen the art market: Encouraging and promoting contemporary artistic production; Professionalizing the various actors in the environment; Building bridges with the international community; And attracting and engaging a new audience in the practice of collecting. Since its formation 30 years ago, it has organized one of the most important contemporary art fairs in the region, promoting Argentine and Latin American art with the aim of continuing to position them in the global market.
