[NAME] Publications invites to a workshop with Viking Funeral
[NAME] Publications invites to participate in a free workshop in the space of Artseen in Miami, with Viking Funeral, who is up next in [NAME]’s Miami Artists Series. Their new book will be released this summer. Audio as Art Material is the workshop´s name with Viking Funeral (Carlos Ascurra and Juan Gonzalez), made under the concept of looking at how audio may function as an art material. VK will draw on their experiences as artists working with audio and with music-related imagery.
During the first 20 minutes, VK will present a series of art practices that have employed audio, as well as fringe musical genres (DIY noise, in particular), that serve as precedent for their own practices. The last 40 minutes will be the hands-on part of the workshop. Along with VK, you will produce a series of audio clips employing the analogue technologies (pedals, instruments, altered amplifiers, etc).
Also, [NAME] is inviting the art lover to take a look of its most recent release, Nick Lobo’s Album Graphics.
