NATIONAL PRIZE FOR ARTISTIC TRAJECTORY EXHIBITED AT THE BUENOS AIRES FINE ARTS MUSEUM
With the aim of promoting the visualization of outstanding artists, the works of those who were awarded with the National Prize for Artistic Trajectory -recognition granted by the Argentine State through the Buenos Aires Fine Arts National Museum (MNBA) - are exhibited at the National Hall of the MNBA. After five decades, the museum takes up this experience.
"Key link in the institutionalization of the arts in Argentina, the National Hall opened its doors on September 20, 1911. As part of the political program that stimulated its creation, this event promoted the national artistic development and acted as its regulator, profiling the aesthetic canons and transmitting the educational values encouraged by the State, "they explain from the museum. The award highlighted eight personalities: Carlos Alonso, Delia Cancela, Juan Carlos Distéfano, Noemí Escandell, Norberto Gómez, Roberto Jacoby, Marie Orensanz and Manuela Rasjido.
The main idea of the award is to give recognition to those who contributed, in one way or another, to the national artistic scene and participated in the construction of an Argentine visual culture.
The exhibition in the National Hall, which with this award celebrates its 107th edition, is exhibited since November and will take place until February 17th. This is not only an opportunity to observe the works of artists with a relentless trajectory, but also to witness works that will become part of Argentina's most important public heritage.
