Talk and Exposition of the Ceramic Tile

Because of the 4th celebration of the International Triennial of the Tile Cerámico, the School of Fine Arts in Santiago and the Ministry of Culture presented a talk tilted: El Tile en la arquitectura,(The Tile in architecture) about the master of plastic, Thimo Pimentel, as an introduction to the exhibition 3 x 6 TILE, Expo Cerámica Artística, of Thimo Pimentel, Luis Muñoz and Oscar Rodríguez.

Oscar Rodríguez, Composicion 5

The idea of uniting three artists to create compositions of six tiles each is the result of trying to “make a more creative design of the architectonic space, not only to make it more pleasing, but also to give it a conceptual aesthetic dimension”.

The display of innovative designs for this medium that has been traditionally reserved to crafts, shows the crossroads between architecture, design and art. The exhibition will be extended to April 30th.
