The Reina Sofia Museum signs a collaboration contract with Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO)
They seek to contribute to the development of joint cultural projects
The National Art Center Reina Sofia Museum and the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO) have signed a collaboration agreement with the purpose of promoting, planning, and executing cultural projects that will contribute to the education of contemporary art in general and, particularly, to the diffusion of pieces by Latin American artists.
This important agreement will make it possible to moderate a series of initiatives and actions in the form of contests at the Museum and CIFO, with prices like temporary loans and the possibility of having an art piece in a long term exhibition. They are also considering creating incentives for investigations in subjects related to contemporary art and especially Latin American artists.
On another note, the joint publications about subjects of mutual interest, printed or on the web, and the organization and exchange of temporary expositions, are at the top of the list of priorities for both institutions, particularly what pertains to cabinet expositions. Any action of formation, diffusion, and debate related to the common goals of the Museum and the Foundation will also be the object of attention through the organization of congresses, seminaries, or conferences. The agreement will serve to promote the training and investigation of professionals from both institutions, to favor the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
