The sixth edition of Arte Laguna Prize

reschedules the deadline for entries

The sixth International Arte Laguna Prize, dedicated to visual artists from all over the world, postpones the deadline for entries until November 30, by mail, and December 6, for on-line applications.

The competition is dividing into five sections: painting, sculpture, photographic art, video art and performance, virtual art. The awards total amount is 170.000 Euros, including: five money Prizes of 7,000 Euros for the winner artists, one for each section. Six artist Residencies in Loft Miramarmi, Vicenza, Italy; Carlo Zauli Museum, Faenza, Italy; Glass School Abate Zanetti, Venice, Italy; Art Stays at Slovenia; IABB at Basel, Switzerland, and Technymon India ARTresidency, at Mumbai, India.

In addition, STILE Original Design offers a money prize of 8,000 Euros and the development of an art project; the jewellery company FOPE of Vicenza will offer another project.
The winners will have two participations in International Festivals: Open, in Venice, and Tina B in Prague. Laguna Prize includes 26 Personal Exhibitions in International Art Galleries: a network of international galleries to introduce the artists to the Contemporary Art market. Each gallery will select an artist for performing a solo exhibition.

Furthermore, 110 finalists chosen by an international jury will participate to the collective exhibition in Venice, and their artworks published in a bilingual catalogue.

The jurors are: Igor Zanti, Art Critic; Alessio Antoniolli, Gasworks of London Director; Chiara Barbieri, Publications Director, Peggy Guggenheim Collection; Gabriella Belli, Director of MART of Trento and Rovereto; Ilaria Bonacossa, freelance Curator; Soledad Gutiérrez, curator at MACBA Barcelona; Kanchi Metha, Curator from the Indian Pavillon at Prague Biennale; Ludovico Pratesi, Director of Centro Arti Visive Pescheria of Pesaro; Maria Savarese, Freelance Curator ; Ralf Schmitt, Preview Berlin Director; Alma Zevi, Art Critic.

The application fees are: 50 Euros for one artwork and 90 Euros for two, but for artists Under 25 are 45 Euros and 80 Euros respectively.

There is time until November 30 to submit artworks.
