“ceiba: reconsidering ephemeral spaces” is a project that focuses on temporality and the ability to capture past and present moments that at times may not seem to be but are indeed related to the collective human experience. With this project Cordova threads, constructs and overlaps multiple narratives fused together to propose alternative perspectives with the goal of gaining a new one that can allow for a reconsideration of the known physical and psychological terrain.

William Cordova was born in Lima, Peru, and earned his Master of Fine Arts from Yale University in 2004. He has participated in multiple artist residencies, including Artspace, San Antonio, Texas; The Core Program, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and the Studio Museum, Harlem, N.Y. Cordova has presented numerous solo exhibitions throughout the United States and internationally, and has participated in group exhibitions at MoMA and PS1 in New York City and the Menil Collection in Houston.
