arteBA announced the launch of its 27th edition
arteBA Foundation announced at the MALBA the launch of the 27th edition of arteBA, with new proposals from curators and sections such as Stage, arteBA Children and Zoom.
The president of arteBA Fundación Alec Oxenford, and the vice president Luis Incera announced, in front of a packed auditorium, the novelties for the 27th edition of arteBA that opens to the public from Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 of May in La Rural (Palermo, Buenos Aires ) renewing its commitment to the selection of curators and the sections of the fair in which this year more than 400 artists from more than 80 galleries from 27 cities participate with enriching dialogues between emerging artists, established and proposals for performances, talks, debates and presentations.
With more than 50% of galleries abroad and an extensive call for professionals and collectors, arteBA is positioned on the international agenda as a key event to generate networks, exchanges and collaborations. A week in which the protagonist is art and galleries, cultural institutions and museums of Buenos Aires are prepared to offer the best of the city to its visitors.
Among the main novelties, we highlight Stage IRSA, a new area within the fair that brings together galleries with less than 5 years of opening. In addition, in 2018, arteBA launches Zoom, a program of artistic interventions that will infiltrate the layout of the fair. In its inaugural year, sponsored by Quinquela Fondos, the pieces selected by invitation with the curatorship of Alejandra Aguado will be located in both entrances of the arteBA pavilions. Finally, so that adults can share the "arteBA experience" with their family, arteBA Niños is inaugurated, a space that, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, will offer a program of workshops and activities for children.
During the four days attendees will have the opportunity to meet the wide range of modern and contemporary artists that offer participating galleries of the fair's 27th edition and participate in multiple agenda options and activities: art tours, conference program, cycle of performances, book presentations, awards and other highlights.
