apexart is accepting exhibition proposals for its NYC Open Call from October 1-31, 2020. The four winning proposals will become apexart exhibitions presented at apexart’s NYC space as part of its 2021-22 exhibition season. Curators, artists, writers, and creative individuals, regardless of experience level or location, are invited to submit a proposal online.

The Proyecto Especial Bicentenario (Special Bicentennial Project) announces the launch of the curatorial contest for the National Exhibition / Peru Bicentennial, which will be inaugurated in July 2021 in the temporary rooms of the Museo de Arte de Lima and the Museo Metropolitano de Lima. The exhibition will become the central event of a program that will include physical, virtual and traveling projects throughout the national territory, to commemorate the 200 years of the republic.

Curated by Clarissa Aidar to defy conservative fantasies of destruction during this dystopian turn of events, the exhibition brings together six new installations created by transgender women artists living in São Paulo who imagine what must we transform (ourselves into) in order to resist. Invoking metamorphosis as a collective strategy of survival, they nurture utopic, rebellious, and unbounded futures rising up from the present wreckage. Together with an extensive series of public programs, it intends to become a space of encounter, exchange and preparation for the here and now.

What can we do from this place? What future can we build together? UNIDEE and Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto invite applications for p this year’s Unidee Residency. Curated by Andy Abbott the theme is "Embedded Arts Practice in a Post-pandemic Future". Application deadline: August 24, 2020.

Design and ideas competition to reimagine museums as a radical form of climate action Application deadline: September 15, 2020

Argentina Performance Art is the first and only digital platform dedicated exclusively to theoretical research on Performance Art in Argentina.

In its 2nd edition, individual and collective artists from all over the country will be able to participate in the contest, which will select an artwork to be located in DONNA Acqua, the new residential building developed by Azcuy. The winner will be awarded an amount of $ 800,000, in addition to the production of the work. Deadline August 2, 2020.

The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of its Artistic Innovation and Collaboration (AIC) grants, a program that advances the values promoted by artist and activist Robert Rauschenberg during his lifetime and career.
