CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: DIRECTOR OF CASTELLO DI RIVOLI MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART
Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art opened applications for the position of Director. Deadline to participate on the selection process: July 15th, 2023.
The Director’s primary goal is to design, promote and direct the museum’s artistic initiatives and programs within the financial framework set out by the Board of Directors. He/she/they must have specific and proven international experience in the field of contemporary art and in the management of museums or similar important cultural institutions.
A pool of internationally recognized experts in the field of contemporary art will be in charge of the selection process. The position offered begins January 1, 2024 and the Director will be employed on a five-year contract basis. The deadline to apply is July 15th, 2023.
Since its opening in 1984, Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the first contemporary art museum in Italy and home to an important Arte Povera collection, has promoted art and culture as fundamental tools for understanding our era, stimulating the social and civil growth of the region in which it operates thanks to the participation of a local and international public. In addition to collecting and exhibiting works of art, the museum is a center for creativity, research, education and the development of culture in the field of contemporary art, by reflecting on the present through a dynamic relationship with the past. The museum is housed in an historic Savoy royal palace in the town of Rivoli, outside Turin.
