This program stands out for its focus on artistic processes and exchange, fostering long-term relationships with artists and providing critical support for their projects. It also encourages collective learning by offering a space for exploration and experimentation within an international context.

Fundación Ama Amoedo will cover travel expenses, accommodation, a private studio, and a stipend for the selected artist. The residency is part of FAARA CONECTA, a Fundación Ama Amoedo initiative that promotes participation in international programs with the goal of fostering dialogue, expanding networks, and stimulating artistic production in diverse contexts.

Pivô, the residency’s host institution, is a renowned nonprofit art space located in the iconic Copan building, designed by Oscar Niemeyer in downtown São Paulo. Since its founding in 2012, Pivô has supported projects by over two hundred artists and curators, offering exhibitions, residencies, commissions, and educational programs. Its mission is to create exchange networks among art professionals and serve as a dynamic meeting point for the emerging art scene in Brazil and beyond.

Founded in 2021 and based in Uruguay, Fundación Ama Amoedo is committed to making a lasting, positive impact on Latin American contemporary art. Its work aims to amplify the visibility of artists from the region—particularly from Argentina and Uruguay—through scholarships, programs, and residencies such as FAARA. This initiative formalizes more than twenty-five years of continuous support from its founder, a prominent philanthropist, patron, and art collector.

Applicants must complete the application form by Friday, April 11, 2025.
