OPEN CALL FOR CENTRO BOTÍN’S ANNUAL ART GRANTS
Fundación Botín announces its 30th edition of the Art Grants offering six scholarships for artists of any nationality. Registration deadline: May 5th, 2023.
Fundación Botín’s new open call gives 6 Art Grants meant to support individual art projects that may consist of training (academic or not), research (nonacademic), and production. Artists of any nationality may apply.
The scholarship has an expected duration of nine months and an endowment of 23,000 euros for each selected project.
The Art Grants are intended to support the development of personal and research projects. In addition to the financial support, works created by the chosen artists will be shown in a collective exhibition at Centro Botín, Itinerarios, which this year celebrates its 28th iteration. The works will be presented in the exhibition gallery or other spaces and formats better suited to making the artists’ research public, as may be the case with performance, participatory activities or film cycles, among others. At the end of the grant period, Fundación Botín continues its commitment with the artists by closely following their career and, where appropriate, by purchasing works for the Collection.
Artists interested should make an initial application using the registration form available, and submit the required documentation on paper by May 5th. The jury’s final decision will be announced on July 14th, 2023.
