PAVÓN’S PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNAL OF QUARANTINE AT THE MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAS
The Art Museum of the Americas presents Geandy Pavón: Quarantine: 40 Days and 40 Nights, a timely and imaginative photographic exploration of life under quarantine. Initially presented as an online exhibition during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, this long-awaited exhibition is now open for visitors in person at the museum.
RONALD MORÁN OR THE DARK FABRIC OF LOCKDOWN
Artists who have that ability to approach and distance themselves from reality have always caught my attention. Ronald Morán, (Salvadoran) is one of them; in this case, he offers us a double distancing: the distancing of a mimetic tradition that recycles reality with repeated images to the point of vertigo and, on the other hand, the distancing forced by the Covid 19 pandemic.

Sitio inespecífico (Unspecific Site) is an essay on spaces and artistic practices in confinement, a virtual refuge in which a group of artists met for the exchange and production of works, assuming that, while the pandemic lasts, virtuality is a possible territory for encounter and action, but also wondering: which virtuality is desirable?
