IMAGE AND SCULPTURE: MAYANA REDIN AT MARLI MATSUMOTO
Marli Matsumoto Arte Contemporânea featured artist Mayana Redin’s solo show Nenhum Mistério (No Mistery) at the gallery, with a presentation and critical text by José Augusto Ribeiro.

The exhibition gathers around ten of the artist's recent works, including material drawings, sculptures and an unseen video. Mayana Redin's works revolve around the cosmogonic, technical and artefactual imaginaries of humanity. Her work mainly uses three-dimensional language and the dialogue between image and sculpture to create scenes, installations and objects. In recent years, Redin has been researching the relationship between cosmic imagination in her materialist orientation and space. She has experimented with the use of welding, firing, metals, rubber, clay and ceramics in her works, with an interest in the technical and manufacturing repertoire.
