ARGENTINE GALLERIES AWARDED AT ARCOmadrid
ARCOmadrid is being held until Sunday, March 10, and presented its Lexus Award for Best Stand to the Argentinean gallery W-Gallery. In addition, the galleries Remota and Piedras won the X Opening Award, which recognizes the best stand in that section.
The Lexus Award for Best Stand at ARCOmadrid 2024 went to the Argentine gallery W-GALLERY. This recognition was granted by the jury formed by. Juan Antonio Álvarez Reyes, exhibition curator and art critic, and Taiyana Pimentel Paradoa, director of MARCO –Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey.
In addition, the galleries –also from Argentina– Remota and Piedras, received the X Opening Award for the best stand in this section. The Sissi Club gallery, from France, received a special mention for its project. The jury was made up by Alex Alonso (director of Fluent, Santander), Kasia Redzisz (director of Kanal-Centre Pompidou, Brussels), Sarah Lookofsky (director of Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo) and Ana Roman (curatorial and production manager of Instituto Tomie Ohtake, São Paulo).
