arteba 2021 - ACQUISITIONS, AWARDS AND CONCLUSIONS
The arteba Foundation turned 30 years old and celebrated it with a face-to-face fair at Arenas Studios, La Boca neighborhood. arteba 2021 created a space where artists, gallery owners, collectors, curators, cultural references and a massive public converged on the southern part of the City of Buenos Aires.

Within the framework of the Art Week, the fair was developed around two main axes. On the one hand, the gallery pavilions and artistic projects within the former Arenas Studios industrial complex. In parallel, an artistic program that spread to the public space in the Pedro de Mendoza Arts Walk, and included the Isla de Ediciones Fundación Proa section, a performance program, the Andreani Talks Program and Zurich Audiovisuals.

Nomination for the EFG Latin American Art Award: Alejandra Mizrahi
Latin American artist nominations are made throughout the year at six fairs in the region, and the acquisition award is announced at the end of 2021 at Pinta Miami. The selection, in charge of Celia Birbragher and the curator Florencia Malbrán, has selected the artist Alejandra Mizrahi from the Intemperie project (Córdoba - Buenos Aires).
Museum acquisition program
This program, which seeks to support the art scene by promoting the acquisition of contemporary art works by the main national and international museums, is possible thanks to the commitment of private patrons. With the support of the Argentine Investment and International Trade Agency, the participating museums and institutions were: MACBA - Museum of Contemporary Art of Buenos Aires, the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires, the Klemm Foundation, the National Museum of Fine Arts (Buenos Aires), the MALBA - Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires, the Museum of Modern Art of Medellín, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Salta, the Franklin Rawson Provincial Museum of Fine Arts (San Juan), the Sívori Museum (Buenos Aires) and the Provincial Museum of Fine Arts Emilio Caraffa (Córdoba).
Artwork Prize arteba 2021
Created in 2008 by Juan Cambiaso in order to encourage and promote the work of artists and gallery projects in their initial stage, since 2014 the award has been organized and coordinated by Abel Guaglianone and Joaquín Rodríguez. With twelve editions held at the Buenos Aires fair and two at the Córdoba fair, the award provides economic recognition without the acquisition of the chosen work.
The jury for the award was made up of: Valeria Palazzo, graduate in Art History, collector and member of the board of directors of Malba Amigos; Natalia Albanese Gisbert, cultural manager, teacher, communicator and member of the studio Capital Creativo; and Irene Gelfman, curator, cultural manager, researcher and art critic.
With a historical record that reached 3 million pesos, the Artwork Prize was distributed as follows: 2 prizes of 400 thousand pesos each to the OHNO (Buenos Aires) and NN (La Plata) galleries, 4 of 400 thousand pesos each for the artists Trinidad Metz Brea, Soledad Sánchez Goldar, Laura Ojeda Bär and Elisa O'Farrell. Finally, the main prize 30 years of arteba, of 600 thousand pesos went to El Mirador (Buenos Aires)
