ICPNA ARTUS WIELS GRANT: 2024 CALL IN PERU

The Instituto Cultural Peruano Norteamericano (ICPNA) and ARTUS are joining forces to launch the call for the WIELS Artist-in-Residence Program, an international multidisciplinary production platform that hosts emerging and mid-career contemporary artists from around the world.
Visual artists of Peruvian nationality, of legal age, whose level of English allows them to express themselves fluently, are invited to participate in the competition for the ARTUS-ICPNA Fellowship, which will be held at the WIELS Residency in Brussels, Belgium, between July and December 2024. Applicants must not have previously participated in the WIELS Artist-in-Residence program.
The main objective of this open call is to provide international mobility to a Peruvian visual artist, granting him/her a 6-month mentorship program that includes an individual work space and professional interactions within the artistic and cultural life of Brussels. This Residency also seeks to establish connections between the artistic scene in Brussels and Peru.
Applications should be submitted in English no later than March 22, 2024, via email to: residency@icpna.edu.pe. Applications should include: Updated curriculum vitae; artist statement: in 250 words or less write a text about your work; statement of purpose: in 300 words or less describe your potential projects, ideas and expectations for the WIELS residency, including some ideas about the project you would like to develop during your stay at the Residency; references: indicate name, email and phone number of three (3) references who could comment on their work and their artistic development at a professional level; project portfolio: select up to ten images or videos to be sent by e-mail with the application in JPG or PDF, maximum size A4 and resolution 72 DPI; description of the images included in the portfolio with the indication of title, date, media, dimension and a small description of each work (no more than 50 words for each image/video); copy of ID; and authorization letter for image rights.
