Delegation is the title of artist Wendy Red Star’s monograph co-published by Aperture and Documentary Arts. The publication release coincides with a solo exhibition by Red Star at Sargent’s Daughters gallery in New York, on view until June 25^th.

From May 21, Cerquone Gallery Caracas presents the exhibition "Pintur(A)política" (Apolitical painting) by Paul Amundarain. The exhibition, curated by Félix Suazo, "displays a repertoire of forms that evoke modern tradition and bring to the forefront the relationship between art and its context."

Odalys Gallery exhibits MABEL POBLET | CUANDO LE HABLO AL OTRO, LE CONVOCO (WHEN I TALK TO THE OTHER, I CALL THEM), in their Madrid space, curated by Alfonso de la Torre. The exhibition includes a perceptive approach to the work of Mabel Poblet, a multidisciplinary creator who is a reference in Cuban art.

“El desorden del discurso” (The Disorder of Discourse), this contemporary art exhibition, includes 15 works (10 acrylics, 2 watercolours, 1 ink, 1 collage and 1 installation) by visual artist Fernando Falconí. The exhibition takes place in the city of Quito in +ARTE gallery directed by Gabriela Moyano and curated by researcher and teacher Lucía Durán.

The exhibition Matriz (Matrix), by Marcia de Moraes, at the Leme Gallery, "inaugurates the artist's sequential thinking about human nature, uniting body, mind and its environment, without the precision of its beginning and ending", as puts the curatorial text written by Ana Carolina Ralston. The exhibition will be available until May 14, 2022.

Galería Zielinsky presents “Streamline” by Dedé Lins, his first solo show in Barcelona. Featuring a selection of new works developed between Barcelona and São Paulo, the exhibition, curated by Jordi Garrido, can be visited until June 23, 2022.

The show offers two photographic presentations that deal with the dilation of oblivion.

The Bogota-based gallery exhibits DECHADO, an exhibition centered on embroideryas an expression of identity, resistance and artistry.

LALANA is an applied arts project devised by Argentine curator Florencia Cherñajovsky that transfers artworks by Argentine visual artists to the production of functional pieces: handmade rugs and tapestries, wallpaper and furniture objects. Weaving an interdisciplinary fabric, the venture that began in 2019 works alongside artists and artisans to create pieces that propose new ways of activating and inhabiting works of art. The exhibition will take place at the Xippas Gallery in Uruguay until May 29 under the title 'Essay 2', chosen because it is LALANA's second exhibition project - the first took place at the Nora Fisch gallery (BA) in 2021.

+Arte exhibits YO, MI YO, MI OTRO YO, EL OTRO, VOS Y MI GATO (ME, MY ME, MY OTHER ME, THE OTHER, YOU AND MY CAT). The exhibition, by the artist Jerónimo Albornoz, exhibits representations of the subject as agent, as participant, as dramatization and production.

Cada día, um nuevo fin de mundo (Every day, a new end of the world), by Pilar Elgueta, will be exhibited until May 7th at NAC (Contemporary Art Gallery). Her work is developed in multiple supports; from the installation to the recording of actions in various media: in it, she reflects on the relationship between the human and the landscape and its representation, the effort/result equation and the limits of our possibilities. She investigates metaphors and actions in search of elaborating the question about wills and their futility, considering failure or wear and tear as an aesthetic phenomenon.

Vigil Gonzales presents Fractured Atlas, the first solo exhibition by Puerto Rican artist Karlo Andrei Ibarra at the gallery.

The Guatemalan Gallery presents Clara de Tezanos’ solo exhibition El Sol es la Fuente (The Sun is the Source). Curated by Andrea Dardón, the exhibition presents a series of sculptures, light murals, poetry, photography, video art, installations and collective performances that take place as gestures of appreciation and whose syntax is the experience of the sacred based on light.

The Ecuadorian gallery +ARTE exhibits 'Homo Ludens' by artist Andrés Velásquez. Combining symbology and architecture, the artist formulates perspectives that propose new axes in terms of seriousness, purpose and custom.

José Olano (Cali, 1985) presents Lo que nos sostiene (What sustains us), an exhibition made up of videos, photographs and installations in the gallery’s Main Room. His works rise from the interest in balance and equilibrium.

Espacio El Dorado, in Bogotá, inaugurated its first exhibition of the year: Un supuesto fotográfico: The family of man en Bogotá (A Photographic Assumption: The Family of Man in Bogotá). Organized by Editorialesréplica, the show is part of one of the most important photography exhibitions of the 20th century, presented for the first time at the Museum of Modern Art in New York as a declaration of global solidarity in the aftermath of World War II.

The Colombian gallery presents VIDEOKINESIS curated by Carmen Gil Vrolijk. The exhibition delves into the exploration of transdisciplinary dialogues where the performing arts, installation, live video, generative image, sound and light materialize various plastic experiences that are traditionally ephemeral.

The +ARTE gallery exhibits uncanny, which highlights the works of artists María Fernanda Carlos and Pamela Corrales. Curated by Gabriela Moyano, the artists examine themes that come from their intimate sphere: holding and containing as female figures, the home, and healing rituals through the evaluation of ancestral, intergenerational, and personal knowledge. In this way, the exhibition generates an appreciation of the interrelationship between daily life and its territories.

La historia de la lona (The History of Canvas) is an international exhibition of canvases, textiles and paintings that narrate their stories and processes as well as those of the artists who intervene in them. The focus is then on the process, rather than the result.

The gallery, located in Bogotá, presents exhibitions of artists who, through explorations from the work and, more importantly, in the work, question the use of formal elements both in their proper sense and in contrast to other practices, both artistic and consumption-wise.

UTA Artist Space and Unit London announce a new immersive environment by the celebrated Los Angeles-based artist Enrique Martínez Celaya. The Rose Garden ambitiously brings together new paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, garments, and writing, inviting viewers to consider the self—both its promise and its threat—through the mystical divination of memory.
