DIEGO DAMAS PRESENTS HIS SOLO EXHIBITION AT IDArtLab

Artist Diego Damas presents his solo exhibition "La Testa di Licantropo", inaugurated at IDArtLab. The exhibition, curated by Félix Suazo and under the General Direction of Domingo de Lucía, takes as its starting point the idea of the monument as a model of symbolic authority in which different aspects of human culture intersect, such as power, devotion, and violence.

Acephalous statues, disembodied heads, faces covered with wolf skin, and devices to cut paper idols, configure different approaches to the theme from the ready-made, drawing, photography, installation, and performance. The exhibition functions as a cathartic contraption where those who embody power (monarchs, thinkers, corporate leaders) can lose their heads, if only in a fictitious spectacle, at the end of which the world will remain as it is.

The exhibition "La Testa Di Licantropo" by Diego Damas will open to the public until April 16, 2024, at IDArtLAB, 676 NW 23 St. Miami FL 33127.
