FEDERICO CURUCHET IS THE NEW CO-DIRECTOR OF W GALLERY
With more than ten years of career working in the contemporary art world, Federico Curuchet assumes a new role as co-director of W Gallery (Buenos Aires, Argentina) / Walden Naturae (Pueblo Garzón, Uruguay).
Curuchet has distinguished himself with his curatorial, writing and gallery work, accompanying the careers of artists of different generations and collaborating with their professional growth both locally and internationally.
Federico studied Art Appraisal and Valuation (UMSA), Philosophy (UBA) and Art Criticism (UNA). During the last ten years he developed his professional career in the Latin American contemporary art system at a global level. He worked as General Coordinator of Aldo de Sousa Gallery (2013-2015) and Rolf Gallery (2015-2017) and directed Barro Gallery (2017-2021) in the City of Buenos Aires. He carried out curatorial work in different public and private institutions, critical reviews for media, production of exhibitions and local and international fair proposals and consultancies for different clients and contemporary art collections.
