OPEN CALL FOR THE XVI ARGENTINA'S NATIONAL CENTRAL BANK PAINTING AWARD
A new call for the Central Bank National Painting Award from Argentina opened. The deadline to apply is July 15, 2023.

The purpose of the award is to promote and disseminate Argentine contemporary art, encourage the participation of artists and increase the Central Bank's pictorial collection with the acquisition of works. The selected works and the winning ones make up an itinerant exhibition of the collection that has already visited most of the provinces of the country.
There are two categories: Artists over 35 years of age and Artists under 35 years of age.
All Argentinians or foreign nationality with a minimum of two years of residence in the country can participate. In the last fifteen editions more than 11 thousand artists took part. The registration form must be filled in with personal data; CV in Word format with a summary of training, career and exhibitions; and photographs of three original works that have not been awarded and with a date of production equal to or after 2021. Applications may be submitted until July 15, 2023.
The jury in charge of selecting and awarding the works of this edition is composed by Ernesto Ballestreros, Daniel Fischer, Bárbara Golubicki, Delfina Helguera and Julio Sánchez. The curator will be Rodrigo Alonso.
Once the selection stage is completed, the Central Bank will transport the works from each artist's home to the space where they will be exhibited. In this edition, the exhibition of selected and winning works will also travel to different provinces of the country.
