PRESENTE CONTINUO: CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 2024 FOR THE ART, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY TRAINING PROGRAM
Presente Continuo is a two-year training program for artists, thinkers, curators, researchers in the exact sciences, social sciences and humanities, scientists and technologists from all over Argentina. Application deadline: March 17, 2024.
For the second consecutive year, registration is open for the Presente Continuo program, organized by the Bunge y Born Foundation and the Williams Foundation, with the participation of the Andreani Foundation and the Cultural Center of Spain in Buenos Aires.
This is a two-year federal interdisciplinary training program for the production of works, ideas, descriptions and narratives, and is aimed at artists, thinkers, curators, researchers in the exact sciences, social sciences and humanities, scientists and technologists from all over the country.
During the first year, those selected will participate in a production space with leading figures in the global avant-garde, with whom they will be able to analyze and discuss the future of art and the future of humanity, in a world crossed by technology.
The international guests, who will give intensive workshops and a masterclass throughout the year, are artists Marcela Armas (Mexico) and Oscar Santillan (Ecuador, Netherlands), and curator and historian Monica Bello (Spain, Switzerland). In a fourth meeting, they will carry out the assembly and presentation of the works produced during the program.
In the second year, fellows will be able to apply for residencies at partner universities in the region, such as the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Universidad de los Andes, Bogota, Colombia; and Núcleo Milenio FAIR, Santiago, Chile.
The program has up to 25 places, half of which are for residents outside the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA). Application deadline: March 17, 2024.
