17 young artists will intervene the two floors of the chilean gallery Artespacio to show us something more about what is happening in the local art scene.   

As part of Gustavo and Patricia Cisneros’ longstanding commitment to building bridges of understanding through education and culture, the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros (CPPC) will donate more than 200 pieces from its collection of Latin American contemporary art to six leading museums in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. 

The Visual Arts Prize of the FNA is aimed at Argentine and foreign artists who legally live in Argentina with the aim of recognizing and promoting national production.

For my twentieth and final posting on the Getty-led initiative exploring Latin American and Latino art in dialogue with Los Angeles, we will look at Juan Downey: Radiant Nature, a joint exhibition by Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE) and Pitzer College Art Galleries. The exhibitions brought to life important interactive works by the Chilean-­‐born artist Juan Downey (1940–1993) that have not been seen for generations. Drawing on groundbreaking research, Radiant Nature features recreations of Downey’s electronic sculptures and installations from the late 1960s and documentation of his early, innovative performance pieces. This two-­‐part exhibition opened at Pitzer College in Claremont, CA, on September 9 and at LACE in Los Angeles on September 13. They closed in December of 2017.

The Uruguayan artist Ricardo Pascale presents the exhibition 'El Elemento' in Galería del Paseo (Punta del Este - Lima).

'Contracorriente' is the first exhibition of the Spanish curator Emilio Navarro in Die Ecke Contemporary Art which brings together three international artists: Nati Bermejo from Spain, Gabriel Kondratiuk from Argentina and Remy & Veenhuizen from Holland.

Coral Gables City Hall, Raúl Valdés-Fauli, Mayor of Coral Gables, and curator Ninoska Huerta presented a public art installation at City Hall and surrounding areas by Venezuelan Kinetic Master Carlos Cruz-Diez.
