CAF AND PINTA JOIN FORCES TO PROMOTE LATIN AMERICAN ART
CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean – and Pinta, an international platform for promoting Latin American art through fairs and artistic circuits across the region, have formalized a strategic alliance aimed at strengthening and promoting Latin American and Ibero-American art worldwide. This collaboration will culminate in a prominent Art Week to be held in Panama City in May 2025, a new initiative designed to position regional culture on the global stage.

CAF is a multilateral institution that drives sustainable development and regional integration in Latin America and the Caribbean by providing financial products and services to governments, financial institutions, and public and private companies in its member countries. The institution has been instrumental in supporting strategic sectors, including sustainability, social inclusion, and the promotion of cultural identity.
Pinta, recognized for its work in creating an interconnected artistic ecosystem that brings together curators, collectors, gallery owners, artists, public and private institutions, as well as art enthusiasts, has established itself as a key player in the promotion of Latin American art. Its initiatives foster cultural dialogue in cities with great artistic potential, creating platforms for exchange between international art and local scenes.
In 2024, Pinta welcomed over 52,000 visitors to its three fairs, expanding a network of 162 art galleries from more than 43 cities worldwide. In 2025, with the expansion of its Art Weeks, Pinta aims to include new cities to strengthen connections between international art and local scenes, fostering a more dynamic and interconnected art market and creating new opportunities for artists.
This strategic agreement seeks to establish a framework for collaboration between CAF and Pinta to promote and preserve the region's art and cultural heritage, with an emphasis on strengthening key sectors such as creative industries and services. Additionally, the alliance will focus on transversal values such as equality, inclusion, and sustainability, supporting social integration and promoting national branding.
“This alliance marks a milestone in institutional collaboration to enhance cultural development and open doors to a future full of opportunities. Together, our institutions are committed to amplifying the positive impact of arts and culture, drawing from our expertise to address present challenges, transform realities, and create a legacy”, said Diego Costa Peuser, CEO of Pinta.
Alejandra Claros Borda, Secretary General of CAF, highlighted that “CAF is committed to identifying opportunities that foster creative economies in the countries of our region, and this alliance with Pinta is fundamental to achieving these objectives and providing visibility and promotion to our culture and Latin American and Ibero-American art”.
With this approach, the alliance between Pinta and CAF will not only celebrate the region’s cultural richness but also contribute to strengthening creative industries, generating a positive and sustainable impact on local communities and the global art landscape.
