PINTA MIAMI 2024 – THE LATIN AMERICAN GENE
Pinta Miami –the international art fair focused on modern and contemporary Iberian and Latin American art– celebrates its eighteenth edition from December 5-8, 2024. Through curated sections and a dynamic and contemporary interdisciplinary program, the fair reinforces its commitment to showcasing a plurality of art.
In its third consecutive edition at The Hangar in Coconut Grove, this major international event offers a unique environment that intertwines artistic experience with sophistication and natural surroundings, becoming a meeting point for artists, curators, gallerists, collectors and art lovers.
During Miami Art Week, the fair presents modern and contemporary art at a geographic crossroads. More than 45 international galleries, representing artists from around the world, will be part of the different sections of the fair: Main Section, RADAR and NEXT.
This year, Pinta Miami is curated by Irene Gelman, Pinta's global curator, Angelica Arbelaez as curator of RADAR, Giuliana Vidarte as curator of NEXT and FORO, and architect Daniel Fischer who is developing the fair's spatial display.
With vision and creativity, these renowned curators work to highlight the voices of the artists, the diversity of the galleries and celebrate the Latin American imaginary.
The Main Section of Pinta Miami presents an international selection of galleries where several contemporary axes converge, all sharing a gene rooted in Latin American culture.

The NEXT section proposes the visualization of emerging galleries with relevance within the contemporary scene of their regions. Once again, during the 2024 edition, the NEXT award will be given to the best exhibition proposal of the section.
The RADAR section seeks to highlight the production of contemporary artists, delving into the work of one or two artists selected by each gallery. The perfect opportunity for visitors to interact more deeply and personally with the artists.
As it is characteristic of Pinta's fair circuit, Pinta Miami will present –in editorial collaboration with Arte al Día– the OPEN FILES, a series of micro-videos where the artists tell details about their works and their most recent works.

HURVIN ANDERSON’S LANDSCAPES AT PAMM
Inspired by the murals of Carl Abrahams lining the departures lounge of Kingston Jamaica’s Norman Manley International Airport, Hurvin Anderson presents a new, sixteen-panel, monumental painting in his first solo show at Pérez Art Museum Miami.
RUBEM VALENTIM AT ICA MIAMI: THINKING AND TRANSFORMATION
ICA Miami presents the first US museum exhibition of the late Afro-Brazilian painter Rubem Valentim (b. 1922, Salvador, Brazil; d. 1991, São Paulo). A singular voice in modernist painting and geometric abstraction, Valentim explored the medium’s formal concerns and social resonances across cultures and spiritual practices. This exhibition focuses on works Valentim produced in the 1960s, and the transformation of his work and thinking during this time.
