LETICIA RAMOS & ZEN MARIE IN A COLLABORATIVE PROJECT
Dim Corners is an evocative exhibition in Johannesburg featuring new works by Brazilian artist Leticia Ramos and South African artist Zen Marie. The exhibition takes into account the city’s frequent energy shortages, and also the recent blackouts that São Paulo had experienced since this project started, weaving a narrative that intertwines the immediate physical impact with the broader, insidious issues of climate change and environmental racism.

Inhotim is presenting three new projects at the end of 2024, in which the protagonists are Rebeca Carapiá, Pipilotti Rist and Rivane Neuenschwander. ALŸS AND THE COLLABORATIVE PHILOSOPHY OF THE GAME AT SERRALVES
Francis Alÿs (Antwerp, Belgium, 1959) began, at the end of the last century, to abandon the exclusivity of his body as the subject of the actions of his artistic proposal to begin to explore the possibility of finding and employing other subjects for this purpose. With this idea, the figure of children gained more and more importance in his production and became the sign of identity of a new stage for the new millennium.
WITNESSES OF AN EXTENDING TERRITORY - VIDEO PROJECT AT PINTA BAphoto
The eighth edition of Video Project, curated by Irene Gelfman, invites us to immerse in the concept of territory through the moving image. In video art we find a sense of curiosity and exploration that challenges our ideas of materiality and expands to embrace the most intimate. In six selected works, the notion of territory addresses bodies, landscapes and symbols, questioning the stability of physical and conceptual limits. The territory becomes a fluctuating space, as critical as the viewer's place.

The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao presents Metahaven. Chaos Theory. FRANCIS ALŸS WILL REPRESENT BELGIUM AT THE VENICE BIENNALE
For the 59th International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia, the Belgian Pavilion (Flemish Community) has invited curator Hilde Teerlinck and artist Francis Alÿs to develop an exhibition project. For the Belgian Pavilion, Alÿs will present The Nature of the Game, an exhibition featuring a selection of films and a series of paintings. Almost all of the films will be new productions.

TREMOR collects and revisits the reflections on painting, cinematographic noema and experimental video that Sandra Rengifo started in 2016 with the work Los Lirios del Campo y las Aves del Cielo. It is a kind of "synthetic Neo-romanticism" that gathers the premises of existentialism, the process of the everyday, the revisiting of the past and thinking about the present: carrying bodies, diseased bodies, caring bodies, bodies suffering from inclement weather.

Known for their fantastical and improvisational approach to puppetry, Poncilí Creación is an art collective composed of identical twin brothers Pablo and Efrain Del Hierro who describe their practice as “speculative alchemy.” For their newly commissioned performance Somxs Podemx, the group takes to the streets for a durational progression across the neighborhoods of San Juan, the duo’s hometown and where they have been in quarantine during the global pandemic.
CECILIA BENGOLEA EXHIBITS “ANIMATIONS IN WATER” AT GUGGENHEIM BILBAO
Three recent works by Cecilia Bengolea (b. 1979, Buenos Aires) are featured. She is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice merges video, choreography, and sculpture. Following the thread of water and movement flows, this exhibition presents a selection of works where the artist’s reflection on dance, the sensorial interplay between the body’s interiority and its surroundings, as well as the rhythmical relations of social communities and nature, symptomatically manifest through the choreographic language.
