THE OTHERNESS OF THE BODY, ACCORDING TO NELA OCHOA, IN TEA

THE OTHERNESS OF THE BODY, ACCORDING TO NELA OCHOA, IN TEA

The exhibition is based on the Venezuelan artist's interpretation of the otherness of the body and memory, factors that can be traced and found in her connection to contemporary dance, with which she has been in contact both in her hometown and in Paris and Caracas. It was there that he developed his ideas revolving around body movement and its possibilities of execution and repetition.

In addition, she borrows elements from the knowledge of genetics, a field that gives the exhibition its title and which she relates to the function and social determination of gender, tracing its influence and impact on everyday life.

Y: Nela Ochoa can be visited until September 1 at TEA, Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, Avda. de San Sebastián, 10, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain.
