NEW NARRATIVES IN THE FOTO COLECTANIA COLLECTION IN MIAMI
The exhibition Beyond the Single Image. Spanish Photography from the Foto Colectania Collection, Barcelona, at The Marguiles Collection at the Warehouse in Miami, presents 150 works by 36 artists from the Foto Colectania Collection, that currently comprises more than 3,000 photographs by Catalan, Spanish, and Portuguese authors, making it undoubtedly one of the most comprehensive private photography collections in the Iberian Peninsula.
FERNANDO LEMOS AND JAPAN REVIEWED AT GULBENKIAN
The approach and review of the work that the multidisciplinary Portuguese-Brazilian artist Fernando Lemos (Lisbon, Portugal, 1926 - São Paulo, Brazil, 2019) made in the framework of his relationship with Japan is the reason for the exhibitions that two centers of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation dedicate to his figure. It is worth remembering here that both of them transit in the Japanese concept that stands as the central axis of the new headquarters of the Centro de Arte Moderno, recently inaugurated, and on which the dialogue between both curatorial proposals pivots.
PINTA BAphoto - THE EXPRESSION OF A REGION'S PHOTOGRAPHY
Pinta BAphoto closed its 20th anniversary at La Rural, Buenos Aires, Argentina, after a weekend that brought together the best of photography in the region and was a meeting point for gallery owners, artists, curators, collectors and photography lovers. The fair attracted more than 14,000 visitors during its three days open to the public.
FERNANDO ALLEN AND CONFINES OF PARAGUAY IN PINTA BAphoto 2024
Confines of Paraguay is the initiative of Fernando Allen and Fredi Casco that is part of the Main Section of Pinta BAphoto. It is a project that began with a photographic approach, but expanded into an editorial, audiovisual and documentary archive -along with other activities- related to the works of popular and indigenous artists from Paraguay.
JAIME BOLOTINKSY'S EVERYDAY ELEMENTS - TRIBUTE ARTIST AT PINTA BAphoto 2024
The Tribute Artist section of Pinta BAphoto celebrates a decade exhibiting the trajectory of photographers who had an active participation in the field, seeking to recover and value their figure. This edition, curator Francisco Medail presents Jaime Bolotinsky, a Russian-born photographer based in Buenos Aires who was a pioneer when it came to composing his portraits, using everyday elements and a precise handling of light.

REPETITION AND TRANSFORMATION - SPECIAL PROJECT AT PINTA BAphoto
Cecilia Lenardón's Special Project at Pinta BAphoto, curated by Irene Gelfman, presents an installation that pushes the representation of the body through photography to the limit, transforming the static image into a living and performative experience. Entitled Cuatro piezas clave (Four Key Pieces), the work invites us to reflect on the body's boundaries and its capacity to tolerate effort and repetition.
SAPUCAY MARICA: INTERVIEW WITH LORENZO GONZÁLEZ BALTAZAR
Lorenzo González Baltazar will be part of the NEXT | Out of Focus section with Primor Gallery, in the 20th edition of Pinta BAphoto. He presents his project Sapucay Marica, with photographs that capture the coexistence of the rural and the queer, performance and tradition, the intimate and the collective.

RIO BRANCO'S JAPANESE FASCINATION IN AVILÉS
The Niemeyer Center, in the Asturian city of Aviles, hosts Tokyo Blues hacia Gritos Sordos (From Tokyo Blues to Deaf Cries), an exhibition by Brazilian photographer Miguel Rio Branco (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, 1946) that traces a journey through his work of crossed images and pieces that were conceived from his personal experience on a trip to Japan, a country whose culture and names in cinema, art and architecture have always fascinated the artist.
PINTA BAphoto 2024: NEW RADAR SECTION
This year, Pinta BAphoto will hold its twentieth edition with new curatorial proposals to continue celebrating photography in Latin America. Based in Buenos Aires, the fair presents the new RADAR section, curated by Sebastián Vidal Mackinson.

As part of the 20th anniversary of BAphoto, the art fair dedicated exclusively to photography in Buenos Aires, the NEXT | Out of Focus section celebrates its tenth edition in 2024. Since its creation, this section has been a key space to promote the visibility of emerging galleries and artists, functioning as a platform that connects Argentine photography with the international scene. Throughout these ten years, NEXT | Out of Focus has played a fundamental role in positioning emerging galleries and generating links with larger art circuits, contributing to BAphoto and Pinta's goal of promoting Latin American art in the world.

The Center for Creative Photography presents Louis Carlos Bernal: Retrospectiva, a landmark survey of one of the most significant American photographers of the twentieth century.
VIVIAN GALBAN: REAL TIME IMAGE ARCHITECTURE
Rolf Art Gallery presents Arquitectura de la imagen en tiempo real (Real Time Image Architecture) by artist Vivian Galban at the Centro Cultural San Martín. The proposal consists of an interactive installation that creates a large-format camera obscura, where the process of image creation is carried out in real time. Curated by Máximo Jacoby. It was previously exhibited at Rolf Art (2019), BAphoto (2019) and Paris Photo (2023).
20 YEARS OF PINTA BAphoto – THE CELEBRATION OF A VISION
The most relevant art fair specialized in photography in Latin America Pinta BAphoto celebrates its twenty years of trajectory between October 24 and 27, 2024. Based in the city of Buenos Aires, it has established itself as an undisputed point of reference for photography.
BARBARA BRÄNDLI, FROM THE OTHER SIDE
The trajectory of Barbara Brändli (Schaffhousen, Switzerland 1932 - Caracas, Venezuela, 2011) in photography requires a conscientious analysis of several points. Without stopping at them, it is very likely to miss the reason for her approach, her vision that transcends the documentary as a simple objective or her contributions to that world that she began to consolidate in that Venezuela of welcome on her arrival in South America from her native Switzerland.
THE COLORS OF THE RESISTANCE: MARCELO BRODSKY AT MUSEO DEL BARRO
The Museo del Barro will present, in the context of Pinta Sud | ASU 2024, the exhibition The Colors of Resistance by artist Marcelo Brodsky. It is under the curatorship of Ticio Escobar.
MEMORY AND DIASPORA IN WIDLINE CADET
Widline Cadet (Pétion-Ville, Haiti, 1992) brings together in her life experience several of the aspects and themes that, perhaps, have inspired more production among all those curatorial lines with more presence. Her biography, constructed through childhood memories, the environment of a generation and a country marked by its own strong culture or the phenomena of emigration, constitutes the framework in which the photographer develops the practical integrity of her work.

The Museum of Photography of the Antonio Perez Foundation, at its headquarters in the town of Huete, Cuenca, exhibits part of the results of the artistic residence held at Kárstica Espacio de Creación, in which, during last June, a total of six artists have developed their projects.
FLORENCIA BLANCO ON THE ARCHITECTURE OF FREDDY MAMANI SILVESTRI
Ch'ixifuturismo is the exhibition at Fundación Larivière that presents photographs by Florencia Blanco on Freddy Mamani Silvestri's architecture, in dialogue with works by Narda Alvarado, Tin Ayala, Iván Cáceres, Cristina Collazos, Miguel Hilari and Claudia Joskowicz, and curated by Santiago García Navarro. The exhibition includes 40 photos, a series of drawings, three videos and a film.
FAREWELL TO SARA FACIO, THE GREAT ARGENTINE PHOTOGRAPHER
Sara Facio passed away at the age of 92. Photographer, curator, journalist and editor, she stood out for her portraits of Latin American cultural figures and for her sharp and sensitive spirit that vindicated photography in the art world.
HAITIAN PHOTOGRAPHER WILDLINE CADET PRESENTS EXHIBITION AT CASA DE AMERICA
Haitian photographer Wildline Cadet's exhibition Take this with you at Casa de América portrays the longing for the lost home. It is curated by Nanda van den Berg, Widline Cadet and Désirée Kroep.
ANDRÉS SERRANO: PORTRAIS DE L'AMERIQUE IN MUSEÉ MAILLOL
Andres Serrano carries with him a sulfurous reputation that he has not tried to hide in this exhibition, where famous and forceful works are presented. Under the title “Portaits de L'Amérique” the Musée Maillol offers a survey of Serrano's “American” work from his earliest creations in the mid-1980s to his most recent.
LEANDRO FEAL AND HIS GREEN HAVANA
The Green Havana project is a captured sample of a time and an attitude, the same one that transits between evasion and hedonism and the social reality of the Cuban capital, a unique and referential site of that almost isolated Cuba and of a popular culture grown in the shadow of political influences.
YOUNG CARIBBEAN PHOTOGRAPHY AT PHOTOESPAÑA
Included within the activities of the program Transcultura. Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity, an initiative coordinated by the European Union and implemented by UNESCO in Havana, fifteen young Caribbean photographers between the ages of 18 and 35 will participate in PHotoESPAÑA 2024 with the presentation of their recent work, in addition to being able to interact professionally with cultural agents and the sector.
ENRIQUE BOSTELMANN: APERTURES AND BORDERSCAPES
The Philip and Muriel Berman Museum of Art presents the tour of Enrique Bostelmann: Apertures and Borderscapes. The exhibition will be available from June 18 to December 15, 2024.
